Scope: This policy encompasses discrimination based on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and/or belief, sex, or sexual orientation as delineated in the Equality Act 2010. WastedTalentInc.com acknowledges the distinction between physical sex and gender assigned at birth and an individual’s gender identity/expression; hence, discrimination based on a person’s gender identity is also covered under this policy.

Commitment: WastedTalentInc.com expects all staff members and the broader community to engage with others equitably, fostering dignity and respect. Any individual who perceives they have been discriminated against, harassed, or bullied is entitled to lodge a complaint without fear of victimization or retaliation. Responsibilities: All individuals associated with WastedTalentInc.com are obligated to endorse EDI. The Chief Executive bears the ultimate responsibility for the full execution of this policy. The Director of People & Culture is tasked with spearheading the WastedTalentInc.com strategy concerning equality, diversity, and inclusion for staff, while collaborating with the Executive team regarding content and operational activity.
Implementation, Monitoring, and Review: The EDI policy will be actualized through an Equality and Diversity Committee. Progress relating to actions and objectives will be regularly reported to the Executive Management Team. The effectiveness of this policy will be evaluated by monitoring as follows:
- The Director of People & Culture will gather and scrutinize monitoring data on staff, reporting annually to the Executive Management Team.
- The Quality and Standards Department will oversee the collection and analysis of candidate monitoring data.
- The Marketing Team will establish and sustain measures to ensure that WastedTalentInc.com content aligns with the stipulations outlined in this policy. This policy will undergo regular reviews to align with best practices and prevailing legislation.
Training: All staff are mandated to participate in EDI training relevant to their roles. New staff members will undergo EDI training as part of their induction process.
Complaints Procedures related to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: WastedTalentInc.com anticipates all staff and the extended community to uphold equitable treatment, dignity, and respect towards others. Any person who believes they have encountered discrimination, harassment, or bullying is granted the right to file a complaint without fear of victimization or retaliation. Please consult the staff and candidate policies for the appropriate procedure to follow.
Notes: This policy is overseen by the Director of People & Culture and is subject to review either at the discretion of WastedTalentInc.com’s Executive or as necessitated by legislative amendments.
